GrahSudhar is a free library of Vedic astrology — and a free Kundli generator that reads your own birth chart, right here on the site. This page explains what we do, how we do it, and the editorial lines we will not cross.
The name, and the mission
GrahSudhar joins two Sanskrit words: graha, a planet — literally "that which grasps" — and sudhar, to correct or bring into balance. The name means balancing the planets: understanding an influence so you can work with a season rather than fear it.
Our mission follows from the name. Jyotish — the "science of light", the Sanskrit name for Vedic astrology — is at its best a weather report for the seasons of a life. It should help you time decisions, understand tendencies and prepare wisely. It should never be used to frighten anyone. If a page on this site ever makes you anxious rather than better informed, we have failed our own standard, and we would like to hear about it.
Our method
We keep our claims small and checkable. Planetary positions come from the VSOP87 planetary theory with nutation, light-time and aberration applied, and every chart engine release is checked against NASA JPL’s DE421 ephemeris to within a few arcseconds. We use the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsha — the standard offset between the Western tropical zodiac and the star-based sidereal zodiac, and the most widely used setting in India.
Our interpretations are grounded in five classical texts, each contributing something distinct:

Our editorial principles
- Tendencies, not fates. A chart describes inclinations and supported seasons; it never fixes an outcome, and you always retain choice.
- Every dosha with its cancellations. The classics list the conditions that neutralise a dosha (an afflicting combination) as carefully as the dosha itself — so do we.
- Remedies as tradition, not guarantee. Mantras, charity and gemstones are traditional guidance for working with a planet, and we present them honestly as such.
- No death predictions, ever. We do not predict lifespans or dates — full stop. Our Ayushya guide shows what this looks like in practice: health tendencies and supportive habits, never countdowns.
The library and your Kundli
The website is a free learning library: planets, houses, doshas, dashas, compatibility and remedies, written for readers with no prior Sanskrit. The Kundli generator applies the same method to your own birth details — free, no login, nothing stored unless you ask for the PDF report — in English, Hindi and Punjabi, along with Kundli Milan and a panchang reckoned at real sunrise for your place.
Why most of it is free
Because we want Jyotish education to be accessible — it is genuinely that simple. Good astrological teaching has too often sat behind fear, jargon or a fee. We would rather you learn to read your own chart than depend on anyone, including us.
So this entire website is free to read, and your Janam Kundli, Kundli Milan, panchang and daily horoscope are free to use with no account and no trial period. The complete PDF report — the same chart as a designed, ten-section document, emailed to you — is free as well at the moment.

Does GrahSudhar predict death or lifespan?
No, never. We treat longevity questions with care: our Ayushya guide discusses health tendencies and supportive periods, not lifespans or dates.
Can astrology tell me exactly what will happen?
No. Vedic astrology describes tendencies and supported seasons, not fixed fates or exact dates. It is a tool for wiser decisions, and the choices remain yours.
